Nature's Natural Shampoo Leave-in - Awapuhi!
Gorgeous aromatic awapuhi ginger flowers create a gel that we use as shampoo or leave-in. In Hawaii we often grow them near the outdoor showers and the flowers then replenish themselves for reuse. For you we bottled the magic, enhanced with Kaua'i botanicals and preserved in a gentle ferment.
Use our Awapuhi to protect, soften and add sheen to your tresses, Hawaii-style.
Awapuhi*, Aloe*, Starfruit*, Hibiscus*, Cucumber*, Noni*, Naupaka**, Plantain**, Hydrosol* (Plumeria, Awapuhi, Olena), Supercritical Ginger Extract, Awapuhi Essential Oil*, Lactobacillus Ferment & Lactobacillus & Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract.

How to Use
AS SHAMPOO LEAVE-IN: Use on those days you're taking a break from your regular shampoo and conditioner. Pump 3-4 times directly onto wet hair. Scrub into hair & scalp, rinse with warm water, gently squeeze out water, apply 2 pumps again to hair and leave in (or give it a half rinse).
AS LEAVE-IN: Pump directly onto wet hair, work through, scrunch in, style. FOR FINE HAIR: Apply as leave-in. Comb once hair starts drying. FOR MEDIUM TO THICK HAIR: Once hair is half dry (or half wet - depending on your perspective) apply a quarter-size amount of our Hanalei Hair Oil.
TO BALANCE HAIR PH: As hair prefers a slightly acidic PH we adjust our awapuhi for daily use. Works great post-surf / swim after hours in alkaline waters; simply rinse hair and apply. We bring our awapuhi to the beach in our small cooler bag (with our Plumeria Hydrosol and a bottle of Kauai Juice Co).
KEEP REFRIGERATED. This is as close to nature as it gets. Though we lightly preserve it, the awapuhi gel lasts longer in the fridge. And don't let it sit there, enjoy and use it up!
Avoid shampoos and conditioners heavy in irritants, chemical fragrances, harsh surficants, and preservatives (e.g. most of them). • Try shampoo and conditioner bars like Kealia Organics. • Switch up your hair care products – shampoos, conditions, leave-ins – keep your faves in a rotation. • Once a month do an apple cider vinegar rinse (1/5th acl to water).
